VICTORY!!!!
Yes, I came out victorious in Roger Ebert’s Great Limerick Contest! As you can imagine, I am ecstatic about winning, although the fact that I found out by reading Ebert's blog while the rest of the house was asleep at 5:00 AM on Saturday made my celebration more like Willie Mays Hayes celebrating making the Cleveland Indians in “Major League!”
Thanks to everyone for telling me about the contest, voting for me over the last month and all your comments here in the Tank! I’ll share a picture of the swag when it arrives from Chicago!

O2B, I went to Ebert's site, read all the submissions, then voted for you based on the fact that your entry was tops. Nice work and best of luck in future contests. Will there ever be a day when a limerick writer can simply do that for a living and not have to work?

Longtime viewer (before the Shark went to the blog format), first time posting.
I typically only scan the posts to see if you have posted a limerick.
Although I was tempted to comment after literally LOL several months ago when it was decided everyone should post anonymously and one anonymous poster (JTB) posted something like "YES, LEST ALL PSOT ANNOMYNOULSY".
So I figured, I'd include that comment in with this one.
I'll now disappear again.
